When most people think about getting help for their addiction to prescription pain killers, they usually end up going to a Suboxone clinic or an opiate rehabilitation clinic. Though it is easy to do a quick search for “Suboxone Clinic near you,” there are some important reasons why you shouldn’t go to such a clinic for your addiction to narcotics. Suboxone is actually a combination of different medications that have been prescribed to patients addicted to prescription pain relievers. The medications used in Suboxone are all used in the treatment of an opiate addiction and are meant to help those suffering from these problems.

Suboxone, as the name suggests, treats the patient by using a combination of medication, which is known as Suboxone. Methadone is a type of medication that has been prescribed to patients who suffer from withdrawal symptoms after stopping the use of heroin and other narcotic drugs. Methadone has less of an addictive effect than other opioids like heroin and is commonly used inside opiate rehabilitation clinics and in outpatient clinics. Suboxone, however, is completely different from Methadone and is intended for long term drug treatment. Suboxone, when used by patients undergoing long term treatment, helps the patient overcome cravings to the drugs. This means that the patients will have a reduced risk of relapsing into the habit once they stop using the drugs. Because of the long-term use of Suboxone, the patients tend to stay away from using narcotics on a regular basis, meaning that they no longer have any urge to abuse them in the first place.

Suboxone clinics provide complete treatment to their patients, as a patient can be admitted into a clinic only if he or she meets specific criteria. In order to get admitted, a person has to meet a series of requirements and have completed an extensive assessment. If the criteria are met, the person is ready to enter a treatment program. The treatment program consists of an individualized plan of treatment that is tailored to suit each patient. Some patients have to undergo a detoxification phase, while others are given only maintenance therapy. Patients undergoing detoxification also receive medication during their stay at the clinic.
