There are many reasons why you shouldn’t use Suboxone for detoxification purposes as a form of treatment for heroin addiction. Although it is easy to do a quick Google search for ‘Suboxone clinics near me’, here are some reasons why you shouldn’t go to a Suboxone detoxification clinic to treat your addiction to narcotics. First of all, there are several types of Suboxone available for detoxification purposes, and some of them carry severe side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and increased heart rate. Not to mention the fact that in order to get a doctor’s prescription for Suboxone, you would need to have had an addiction to narcotic substances.

This means that if you are using Suboxone to cure your heroin addiction, you are putting yourself in danger by using medication that may cause your withdrawal symptoms to be worse than what you have already experienced during detoxification from a heroin addiction. There have been reports of withdrawal symptoms ranging from headaches to convulsions. There have also been reports of kidney problems, and even death.

Second, if you want to fully recover from your addiction, you will need to do everything you can to detox yourself from Suboxone. This means that you won’t have to keep a doctor’s prescription on hand at all times, so the expense of purchasing Suboxone is not going to save you money. Suboxone detox programs can cost thousands of dollars. If you are going to get addicted to Suboxone, why pay a doctor’s prescription for more than likely the same medicine that you will be using when you detox? Besides, Suboxone has been linked with several negative health effects, so why take the risk?
